FAQ

  • Is it safe to travel in a camper?
Yes! It's like traveling in a normal vehicle – but now with a house on board! In addition, our campers are insured and roadside assistance is available in case of emergency.
  • What does the insurance cover?
Most of the vehicles we offer have all-risk insurance from Liberty, which covers, among other things, partial or total damage, non-contractual liability, and roadside assistance. However, since we also work with vehicles from third-party providers, there are some vehicles that are covered by other insurance policies. We will provide you with these conditions individually before your reservation.
  • Where can we stay overnight?
Maway has a large network of campsites. Depending on your route, you can decide flexibly where you want to stay overnight. These include private campsites such as parks and farms, as well as public places such as gas stations, viewpoints, and special nature sites, which are sometimes free of charge.
  • Can I return the camper in a different city than where I picked it up?
We are happy to check your specific requests. Please contact us personally and we will find the right solution.
  • What are the prices?
Prices vary depending on the selected motorhome type, your travel length, and the number of passengers.
  • Do I need a special driver's license?
With a German or international driver's license, you can drive a car during your tourist stay in Colombia. You do not need a special additional license for our campers.
  • Do I need to pay a different toll?
No, the same toll price applies as for cars.
  • Are there set routes?
In principle, you can choose your own route and travel as flexibly as possible. We have already put together a few routes for you as inspiration.
  • What are the pick-up and drop-off times?
Our vehicles are calculated for 24 hours each. Therefore, ideally return the vehicle around the same time you picked it up. The times for this are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. Times may vary.
  • What are the requirements for renting?
    • The driver must be over 25 years old.
    • Driver's license for driving a car: For Colombians, at least class B1. For everyone else, the driver's license of the country applies as long as you stay in Colombia for less than 6 months.

    • Payment by credit card.
    • The motorhome is returned to the place where it was picked up. Contact us beforehand if this is different and we will find a solution.
  • Am I allowed to leave the country?
No, this is not possible due to insurance coverage.
  • Is a deposit required?
A cash deposit is not required. However, a signed credit card receipt is required as a guarantee, which will be destroyed 15 days after the motorhome is returned if there are no damages.
  • How many people can stay in the camper?
    We offer two options:
    • Camper with one bed – maximum two adults and one child
    • Camper with two beds – maximum four adults and one child
  • Does the camper need to be cleaned before returning it?
